Eye Care

Periodic eye and vision examinations are an important part of preventive health care. Many eye and vision problems have no obvious signs or symptoms. As a result, individuals are often unaware that problems exist. Early diagnosis and treatment of eye and vision problems are important for maintaining good vision and eye health, and when possible, preventing vision loss.

Surgical Co-Managment

We work closely with many of the ophthalmological surgeons in the Eastern Iowa area. Most surgeries such as cataract, LASIK, glaucoma, and retinal surgeries are performed by the ophthalmologist at their clinic or hospital. We provide pre-operative and post-operative care.

Medical Eye Care

The eye is truly the window to the soul. The eye health can give an overview of your general health. There are many diseases that affect the eye, including diseases of the body. Our doctors are trained in the treatment and management of ocular diseases, including but not limited to; glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, diabetes, hypertension, and many, many more. External examination of the eye includes evaluation of the cornea, eyelids, conjunctiva and surrounding eye tissue using bright light and magnification. Evaluation of the lens, retina and posterior section of the eye may be done through a dilated pupil to provide a better view of the internal structures of the eye.

Contact Lens Care

Getting started right with your contact lenses involves going to a doctor who provides full-service care. This includes a thorough eye examination, an evaluation of your suitability for contact lens wear, the lenses, necessary lens care kits, individual instructions for wear and care and unlimited follow-up visits over a specified time.

Emergency Eye Care

Our office offers 24/7 emergency eye care. We are credentialed and on staff with Manchester Regional Medical Center also.
