About Us

Our goal at Advanced Eyecare Associates of Eastern Iowa is to provide only the very finest care for patients.  We will take into account the total health and more specifically the eye health, life style, occupation, needs and wants of each person.  We strive to provide all services in a caring, clean and relaxed atmosphere with a professional attitude.  We provide only the finest in optical materials and supply all services and materials at a reasonable cost.  At Advanced Eyecare Associates, the patient truly comes first.

Dr. Beth Zingula, OD

Dr. Beth Zingula grew up northeast of Marion where her parents still farm and is a graduate of Linn-Mar High School.  She received her undergraduate degree from Iowa State University where she graduated with distinction.  Dr. Zingula obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN and received several awards including Outstanding Senior Clinician and Excellence in Behavioral Optometry.

Dr. Zingula moved to Manchester in 2005 and has enjoyed calling Manchester home.  She took over the office in April 2005 from the late Dr. Duane Atteberry who retired at that time.  She is chair of the Delaware County 4-H Horse Committee. Dr. Zingula also enjoys volunteering at West Delaware Schools when time allows.  Dr. Zingula and her husband, Dr. Beilby stays busy with their four children and many animals on their small farm just south of town.

Dr. Shawn Beilby, OD

Dr. Shawn Beilby grew up northwest Iowa near Storm Lake where his parents still farm.  He received his undergraduate degree from University of Iowa.  Dr. Beilby obtained his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN.  He graduated Summa Cum Laude and the distinction of Valedictorian.  He was also the 2005 Optometry Super Bowl Champion, representing Southern College of Optometry in a contest of knowledge.

Dr. Beilby moved to Manchester in 2006 and has enjoyed calling Manchester home.   Dr. Beilby stays busy with their four children's activities while also actively farming in the Storm Lake area.   

Dr. Nicholas Olberding, OD, FAAO

Dr. Nicholas Olberding grew up just south of Dyersville and is a graduate of Beckman High School. He received his undergraduate degree from Loras College and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Olberding obtained his Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry where he also graduated Magna Cum Laude.  After graduation, he completed a one-year optometry residency at the St. Louis V.A. Medical Center with an emphasis in Primary Care and Geriatrics.   Dr. Olberding practiced full scope optometry in Iowa City prior to joining Advanced Eyecare Associates.  He is a member of the American Optometric Association, American Academy of Optometry and the Iowa Optometric Association as well as a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. His interests include medical eye care, contact lenses, and emergency eye care. In his spare time, Dr. Olberding enjoys a passion for triathlons, woodcarving, traditional archery, cycling and spending time with his family.  He is grateful for the educators, mentors, and colleagues who have demonstrated to him the great privilege and opportunity of improving each patient’s quality of life.
